Canal+ Bundles TV, Streaming, and Internet Across French Caribbean Islands; Cuts Monthly B
Households in French Caribbean islands can now bundle television, streaming, and internet for monthly savings up to 20 euros.
Canal+ rolled out bundled television, streaming, and fiber internet packages across Reunion and the French Caribbean territories on August 3, 2026, promising households savings of up to 20 euros each month by consolidating what were previously separate bills.
The launch was simultaneous across Reunion and Guadeloupe-Martinique-French Guiana. The restructured plans combine Canal+ premium content with fiber optic connectivity, letting subscribers access television, streaming, and internet through a single subscription via the Canal+ app on compatible devices. One bill. One ecosystem.
Lea Borgne, General Director of Canal+ Reunion-Mayotte, framed the shift as a simplification of daily subscriber life, unifying content, fiber access, and multi-screen capability under one roof. She also drew a sharper line around the company's local identity, stating that Canal+'s content reflects the culture and daily life of the territories where it operates, a distinction she positioned directly against competitors in overseas markets.
The pricing structure was redesigned with three household profiles in mind: those consolidating existing subscriptions, first-time fiber users, and consumers already accustomed to streaming through apps and connected televisions. Formulas are available with or without commitment periods and with or without set-top boxes, a deliberate response to economic pressure on households trying to balance service quality, content depth, and spending control.
Canal+ cited CSA Research 2026 surveys conducted in Reunion to anchor its claims. According to the company, more than nine in ten fiber subscribers rated Canal+ connectivity as technically reliable, and more than nine in ten platform subscribers judged the programming and channels to be high quality.
By contrast, the commercial push behind the launch is anything but understated. Canal+ deployed a 360-degree marketing campaign titled "An Offer From Elsewhere" across television, radio, outdoor advertising, and digital platforms, targeting potential subscribers throughout Reunion as the company cements its dual role in both entertainment and telecommunications.
The broader convergence between telecom operators, content distributors, and streaming platforms has been narrowing for years. Canal+ is now directly embodying that convergence for residents of Reunion and the Caribbean, which raises the question of how quickly rivals in those territories will respond with comparable bundled structures of their own.
